Di usianya yang ke-60 Tahun, Departemen Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi (DIPI), FIB UI mengadakan rangkaian kegiatan
Konferensi dan Workshop Internasional dalam bidang Ilmu Perpustakaan.
Tema: "Making You Know"
Tempat: FIB UI, Depok
Tanggal: 18-19 Oktober 2012
Kegiatan internasional ddukung oleh pembicara bertaraf internasional

Tujuan acara ini adalah untuk
1. bertukar pikiran dalam mengembangkan ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi di Indonesia sejak tahun 1952 - sekarang termasuk merancang pengembangan pendidikan ke jenjang doktoral/S-3
2. mengembangkan layanan informasi kepada masyarakat
3. membangun kerja sama antar pengajar, alumni, praktisi, baik di dalam maupun luar negeri

Kegiatan ini akan dihadiri oleh pejabat dari ANRI, PNRI, dan PDII-LIPI

Rangkaian HUT ke-60 DIPI FIB UI akan dimeriahkan oleh kegiatan UI Book Festival VIII
