Festival Timur Tengah (FTT) merupakan festival kebudayaan tahunan tingkat nasional yang diadakan oleh mahasiswa program studi Arab Universitas Indonesia sejak tahun 2009. FTT selalu menjadikan Timur Tengah sebagai ikonnya dalam menampilkan gambaran singkat mengenai seni, budaya, dan sosiokultural masyarakat Timur Tengah yang beragam dan menarik.

Pada FTT VI tahun ini mengangkat tema “Kemilau Warna Negeri Matahari Terbenam”, acara ini akan membawa kontributor, partisipan, dan masyarakat agar menjadi lebih dekat dengan peradaban Timur Tengah dimulai dari bahasa, gaya hidup, kesenian, hingga arsitekturnya. Festival Timur Tengah akan diadakan pada tanggal 14-17 April 2014 di Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya (FIB) UI.

FTT akan menampilkan bedah film bertema Timur Tengah, bedah buku “Betapa Malang Nasibku” karya Males Sutiasumarga, pameran fotografi, peragaan busana khas Timur Tengah, pertunjukan memasak masakan khas Timur Tengah, workshop Henna Daily and Party, dan donor darah. Semua konten acara kental dengan nuansa khas Timur Tengah dengan desain artistik yang menarik.
Selain Festival, terdapat pula lomba yang dibagi menjadi tiga kategori, yaitu:

  1. Kategori Siswa : Pidato, Puisi, Baca cerita.
  2. Kategori Mahasiswa : Esai, Puisi, Debat, Menyanyi Arab
  3. Kategori Umum : Stand up comedy, Makan Kebab, Kaligrafi
