Perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi di dunia ini senantiasa membawa kemudahan bagi umat manusia, termasuk juga di bidang penyiaran. Digitalisasi televisi adalah salah satunya. Teknologi ini membuka jalan bagi meningkatnya jumlah lembaga penyiaran untuk bisa beroprasi di Indonesia. Namun keberadaan teknologi ini perlu dibarengi dengan adanya regulasi yang jelas sehingga berbagai pihak yang terlibat di dalamnya dapat menikmati perkembangan teknologi ini dengan nyaman.
