Pada 27-28 April 2012 telah diadakan sebuah pelatihan menulis oleh Wacana, Jurnal Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya, di Gedung 8 FIB, Kampus UI Depok. Pelatihan penulisan ini difokuskan untuk jurnal ilmiah dalam bidang humaniora. Peserta dibimbing bagaimana untuk membuat jurnal ilmiah yang baik dan benar oleh narasumber yang pakar di bidangnya, yakni Prof. Melani Budianta Ph.D. dan Manneke Budiman S.S., M.A., Ph.D.

Peserta pelatihan berasal dari berbagai latar belakang, seperti pengajar dan mahasiswa S2. Dalam pelatihan ini, narasumber membedah unsur-unsur pembentuk jurnal ilmiah, apa saja yang harus disajikan dalam sebuah jurnal ilmiah serta tips semasa penulisan jurnal ilmiah. Saat acara berlangsung, peserta diajak untuk berlatih membuat jurnal ilmiah dengan membuat abstrak dan pendahuluan terlebih dahulu. (NIS)
