Departemen Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi (DIPI) FIB UI merintis pembukaan program S3 Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi. Untuk itu, DIPI mengundang narasumber dan peserta untuk berdiskusi dalam lokakarya “Menuju Program S3 Ilmu Perpustakaan Dan Informasi FIB UI: Potensi Dan Tantangan” pada Kamis (26/4) di FIB, kampus UI Depok. Terdapat empat nara sumber, yaitu Ketua Departemen Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi Dr. Laksmi, SS, M.A., Ketua Dewan Guru Besar FIB Prof. Riris K. Toha Sarumpaet, SS, MSc., Ph.D, Peneliti LIPI Prof (Riset) Dr. Ir. Engkos Koswara Natakusumah, M.Sc, APU, dan Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi UNPAD Prof. Deddy Mulyana, M.A., Ph.D.
