Segenap pustakawan di lingkungan UI, Kamis pagi (03/05) berkumpul di ruang terapung Perpustakaan Pusat UI untuk memperingati HUT ke-29 Perpustakaan Pusat dan memperingati 1 tahun kepindahan Perpustakaan Pusat dari Gedung lama ke Gedung baru. Hadir dan turut memberikan sambutan pada acara itu Rektor UI Prof.Dr. der Soz Gumilar Rusliwa Somantri dn Wakil Rektor Prof.Dr.Ir. Muhammad Anis, M.Met.

Selain diisi dengan meminta komentar dari para pengguna perpustakaan (pemustaka) dari berbagai kalangan (Mahasiswa dan dosen), juga diisi dengan pemberian hadiah kepada pustawakan yang berprestasi berupa perjalanan keluar negeri untuk mengikuti seminar dan pelatihan perpustakaan. Selain itu, juga diberikan penghargaan kepada pemustaka yang paling banyak meminjam buku dalam kurun waktu 5 bulan.(mrr)
