Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia (BEM FIB UI) menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Tanggap Bencana bekerja sama dengan ACT (Aksi Tanggap Bencana) pada hari Senin (11/06/2012) di Auditorium Gedung IV FIB UI untuk teori dan materi, dan di Danau Mahoni untuk praktik Water Rescue.

Pelatihan Tanggap Bencana di atas merupakan sub program dari program kerja yang bernama Tanggap Sosial FIB UI. Pada intinya, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih softskills dan hardskills tentang kerelawanan dan kebencanaan. Para peserta dari pelatihan tersebut adalah perwakilan lembaga formal kemahasiswaan se-FIB UI yang terdiri atas Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi (HM Prodi), Badan Otonom (BO), dan Badan Semi Otonom (BSO). Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dihadiri oleh anggota-anggota dari School of Volunteer ](SOV).

Untuk kedepannya, kami akan menyelenggarakan pelatihan tahap lanjutan mengenai kerelawanan dan disaster management. Selain itu, kami juga akan membentuk komunitas relawan di FIB UI. Semoga dengan diselenggarakannya kegiatan ini dapat memberikan manfaat untuk sivitas akademika FIB UI dan masyarakat luas. Hal tersebut selaras dengan penjelasan dari Kepala Departemen Sosial Masyarakat BEM FIB UI 2012 Arif Nur Setiawan, "Semoga visi BEM FIB UI akan segera terwujud yakni FIB Satu: Akselerasi-Inovasi".
