Barisan marching band Madah Bahana UI dengan kostum perpaduan antara merah dan putih memasuki balairung dengan rapi sambil menyanyikan genderang UI. Atraksi dari Madah Bahana UI ini membuka acara Biennial Intervarsity Gameske-25 di Balairung UI (6-12/7) diikuti oleh 4 Universitas yang ada di Asia Pasifik yaitu National University of Singapore (NUS), University of Macau (UMAC), University of Malaya (UM), dan Universitas Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah. Mahasiswa baru yang tergabung dalam paduan suara ikut pula berpartisipasi dengan menyanyikan lagu Indonesia Raya. Liga Tari Krida Budaya juga ikut andil dalam kesuksesan opening ceremony ini dengan menampilkan ciri khasnya yaitu tarian tradisional.
