Himpunan Mahasiswa Japanologi UI (Himaja UI) menyerukan kepada seluruh penduduk Indonesia untuk menyelematkan bumi mulai dari hal yang terkecil dalam acara Gelar Jepang 2012 (13-15/7) yang bertema “Embrace the Future, Embrace the Nature.” Gelar Jepang yang sebelumnya dilakukan selama 3 hari berturut-turut di PSJ dan FIB UI, untuk kali ini mengalami perubahan. “Hari ke-3 kita tidak memakai PSJ dan FIB lagi karena pengunjung dan peminat gelar Jepang sudah mencapai puluhan ribu. Hari ke-3 kita alihkan ke boulevard UI,” kata Eva salah seorang panitia.
