Universitas Indonesia (UI) mengadakan upacara wisuda bagi 8.672 lulusan UI mulai dari jenjang D3 hingga S3 di Balairung, Kampus UI Depok. Wisuda yang dipimpin oleh Pejabat Sementara Rektor UI Prof. Dr. Ir. Djoko Santoso, M.Sc ini dilaksanakan dalam dua hari, yaitu pada 7-8 September 2012. Di wisuda semester ini, terdapat 1.230 mahasiswa UI yang meraih predikat cum laude dari berbagai program. Jumlah tersebut sama dengan 14% dari jumlah lulusan UI semester ini. Pada wisuda semester lalu, terdapat 429 lulusan berpredikat cum laude dari total 7.458 lulusan atau 5,75% dari total lulusan. Ini berarti jumlah lulusan berpredikat cum laude naik hampir tiga kali lipat dari tahun lalu.
