Departemen Teknik Kimia Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia (FT UI) mendapat dana hibah sebesar Rp 1,6 miliar dari Total E&P Indonesie (TEPI). Penyerahan dana hibah tersebut diresmikan dengan penandatanganan MoU oleh Dekan FT UI Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Sugiarto M.Eng. dan Vice President Human Resources, Communications and General Services Total E&P Indonesie Arividya Noviyanto pada Rabu (10/07) di Kantor TEPI, Jakarta.

Dana tersebut merupakan bentuk partisipasi Total E&P Indonesie bagi dunia pendidikan di Indonesia dan dialokasikan bagi Program Perbaikan Pendidikan Teknik Kimia dan Bioproses di UI, yang secara khusus ditujukan untuk merenovasi gedung empat lantai di Departemen Teknik Kimia. Nantinya, beberapa ruangan pada gedung Jurusan Teknik Kimia akan diberi nama sesuai dengan nama-nama lapangan minyak dan gas yang ada di Blok Mahakam , yakni: Tunu, Tambora, Sisi Nubi, Handil, Bekapai, Peciko, dan South Mahakam.
