27-29 Agustus 2013, Program Studi Inggris FIB UI bekerja sama dengan Universitas Siswa Bangsa Internasional (USBI) akan menyelenggarakan 60th TEFLIN International Conference di Kampus Universitas Indonesia, Depok.

TEFLIN adalah Asosiasi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Indonesia (The Association of Teaching of English as a Foreign Language in Indonesia) yang sudah berdiri sejak 1970. Untuk konferensi kali ini, panitia mengangkat tema “Achieving International Standards in Teachers Education”

Konferensi ini akan dibuka dengan pidato utama oleh Dr. Grace Wiradisastra dari Universitas Indonesia, dan menyajikan 10 pembicara utama yang terkemuka di bidang pengajaran bahasa yaitu:
- Prof. Dr. Jerry Gebhard (Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA),
- Prof. Dr. Paulina Pannen (Universitas Siswa Bangsa Internasional ),
- Prof. Dr. John H.A.L. de Jong (VU University, Amsterdam),
- Professor Dr. Jayakaran Mukundandan (Universiti Putra Malaysia),
- Dr. Willy A. Renandya (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore),
- Dr. Luciana (Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya),
- Dr. Nugrahenny T. Zacharias (Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana),
- Dr. Ikhsanudin (Universitas Tanjung Pura),
- Steven Gershon (J. F. Oberlin University, Tokyo),
- Sadie Maddocks (South East Asia Product Manager, Oxford University Press).

Selain itu, akan ada 316 sesi presentasi paralel serta 25 sesi lokakarya. Konferensi ini turut didukung oleh Kementrian Koordinator Bidang Kesejahteraan Rakyat, dan direncanakan akan dibuka oleh Menko Kesra Republik Indonesia, H.R. Agung Laksono.
