Dekan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia (FT UI) Prof. Bambang Sugiarto, M.Eng. dan perwakilan dari beberapa departemen di FT UI menerima kunjungan Delegasi University of Florida pada Selasa (03/09) di Gedung Dekanat FT UI. Delegasi dari University of Florida terdiri dari Prof. Christopher Silver (Dean of The College of Design, Construction & Planning), Prof. Candy Carmel-Gilfilen (Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator, Department of Interior Design), dan Margaret Portillo, Ph.D. (Department Chair and Professor, Department of Interior Design).

Dalam kunjungan tersebut dibicarakan tentang kemungkinan kerja sama, di antaranya pembukaan program double degree khususnya bagi mahasiswa S2 FT UI. Selepas pertemuan dengan pimpinan fakultas, delegasi University of Florida mengadakan kuliah umum “An Introduction to Interior Design Studies at the University of Florida”. Kuliah umum ini dibuka oleh Kepala Departemen Arsitektur FT UI, Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan, Ph.D. dan dihadiri oleh para mahasiswa Teknik Arsitektur Interior FT UI. (Humas FT)
