Pada Jumat (06/09) di Auditorium Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia (FE UI), Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) UI mengadakan acara Pelepasan Kontingen “UI Road to Champion” Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional atau PIMNAS ke-XXVI. Pelepasan Kontingen UI ini diadakan untuk menunjukkan apresiasi sivitas akademika UI kepada kontingen UI untuk PIMNAS XXVI yang akan berangkat ke Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat, untuk mengikuti acara tersebut. Acara ini turut dihadiri oleh Rektor Universitas Indonesia Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, M.Met., Direktur Kemahasiswaan Arman Nefi, M.M., dan sejumlah manajer kemahasiswaan dan alumni fakultas.

Acara dibuka dengan kata sambutan oleh Rektor Universitas Indonesia, Direktur Kemahasiswaan, Ketua BEM UI Ali Abdillah dan Ketua Panitia acara Pelepasan Kontingen Aufa Apriliani. Selain itu, acara juga menampilkan video dari Iluni PIMNAS UI, video profil kontingen UI untuk PIMNAS XXVI, serta perjalanan mereka menuju PIMNAS. Sebagai simbol apresiasi, pengurus BEM UI beserta Rektor Universitas Indonesia dan Direktur Kemahasiswaan memberikan bunga untuk para wakil kontingen. Seremoni pemukulan gong dilakukan oleh Rektor UI sebagai simbolisasi pelepasan kontingen UI untuk PIMNAS XXVI.

Untuk PIMNAS XXVI tahun ini, UI mengirimkan sembilan tim yang telah menyusun Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) yang terdiri dari empat tim PKM-KC (Karya Cipta), tiga tim PKM-GT (Gagasan Tertulis), dan dua tim PKM-M (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat). Acara ditutup dengan hiburan musik dan foto bersama. (HNA)
