Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia (FE UI) bekerja sama dengan Yayasan ARSARI Djojohadikusumo menggelar kuliah umum bertajuk “Sosok Prof. Sumitro Djojohadikusumo: Pemikiran dan Perjuangan untuk Pembangunan Ekonomi Indonesia”. Kuliah umum berlangsung di Gedung Sumitro Djojohadikusumo FE UI, kampus Depok pada Kamis (10/10).

Kuliah umum menghadirkan Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo (putra Prof. Sumitro) sebagai pembicara. Kuliah umum membahas sosok Prof. Sumitro sebagai seorang begawan ekonomi Indonesia sekaligus pendiri FE UI. Prof. Sumitro, menurut Hashim, adalah sosok yang menganut pluralisme, mendukung Pancasila, dan mengagumi Ir. Soekarno sebagai proklamator. Prof. Sumitro, imbuh Hashim, juga memuji sosok Soeharto, Presiden RI yang kedua. “He is very great manager,” ujar Hashim menirukan ucapan ayahnya.

Hal lain yang dapat diteladani dari Prof. Sumitro adalah sosoknya yang memiliki manajemen waktu yang sangat baik, serta sangat disiplin, dan tepat waktu. “Papi seseorang yang sangat kutu buku, gemar membaca. Beliau berpesan agar kebiasaan membaca kita tidak berhenti bersamaan dengan berhentinya kuliah,” tambah Hashim. Prof. Sumitro juga sangat menginginkan universitas tidak tumbuh menjadi menara gading. Kuliah umum ditutup dengan sesi tanya jawab. (IMS)
