Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia (BEM FK UI) kembali menggelar open house selama dua hari pada 21—22 September 2013di area FK UI, kampus Salemba. Acara tahunan ini memiliki dua kegiatan utama, yaitu seminar dan tur intrakampus.

Selama seminar berlangsung, para peserta dibagi menjadi dua ruangan secara pararel, yakni Ruang Kuliah Kimia dan Ruang Parasitologi, namun dengan materi yang sama. Seminar yang pertama yaitu seputar kurikulum dan administrasi yang disajikan oleh Dekanat FK UI. Yang kedua adalah seminar dari Fakultas Psikologi UI mengenai passion jurusan yang akan diambil saat melanjutkan studi. Kemudian, seminar ketiga adalah seminar tentang biaya perkuliahan dan peluang beasiswa di FK UI yang disampaikan oleh BEM IKM UI.

Setelah seminar selesai para peserta diajak untuk berkeliling kampus FKUI pada kegiatan tur intrakampus di sesi open house berikutnya. Pada sesi ini para peserta dibagi menjadi 23 kelompok untuk mengikuti tur intrakampus yang didampingi oleh seorang fasilitator untuk masing-masing kelompok. Selain berkeliling kampus, peserta juga mendapatkan pengetahuan mengenai basic life support seperti airway control, breathing support, dan circulatory support di pos basic life support.

Peserta open house juga dapat membeli makanan dan cenderamata di stan yang telah disediakan panitia. Kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan kehidupan dan lingkungan FK UI ini ditutup dengan pertunjukan sulap dari dr. R.M. Ali Fadhly. (SN)
