Sesuai dengan rapat paripurna MWA tanggal 1 Oktober 2012, maka diambil keputusan berikut:

1. Untuk penyelesaian masalah internal UI, MWA memutuskan akan menggunakan UU DIKTI tahun 2012 sebagai dasar acuan dan karenanya mendorong penyelesaian statuta sesuai target yang ditetapkan DIKTI.

2. Berdasarkan keputusan MWA tersebut, maka proses pemilihan rektor ditunda sampai statuta baru disahkan. Untuk kelanjutan proses pemilihan rektor, Bakal Calon Rektor (BCR) tetap diakui sejauh tidak mengundurkan diri.

3. Untuk mengakomodasi pemilihan rektor yang sudah berproses, maka MWA mengusulkan agar pasal peralihan dalam statuta memuat tentang tatacara dan ketentuan pelaksanaan pemilihan rektor untuk pertama kalinya.

Pada hari Jum'at, 5 Oktober, jam 13.00 – 15.00, pak Endriartono Sutarto, Ketua Panitia Khusus Pemilihan Rektor UI 2012-2017, telah mengadakan pertemuan dengan Bakal Calon Rektor untuk memberikan penjelasan terkait proses pemilihan rektor.
