Sebanyak 30 pengajar terpilih Gerakan UI Mengajar dilantik, Sabtu (24/11) di Balai Sidang, Universitas Indonesia. Selain melantik pengajar, juga dihelat seminar bertajuk “Inspirasi untuk Indonesia: Pendidikan bagi Penerus Bangsa.”

Para pengajar tersebut adalah peserta terpilih dalam rangkaian seleksi Pengajar Gerakan UI Mengajar dari 288 peserta. Selama tiga pekan (9 Januari—2 Februari 2012), mereka akan dikirim ke Desa Kertaraharja dan Desa Kutamekar, Kecamatan Sobang, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Banten untuk mengajar. Project Officer, Raihan Al Fauzan kepada UIUpdate mengatakan, lokasi tersebut dipilih karena akses transportasi dan komunikasi di sana dinilai masih memprihatinkan.
