Unit Pencegahan dan Penanganan Penyalahgunaan Narkoba (UP3N) UI didukung oleh Direktorat Kemahasiswaan UI bekerja sama dan Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) menyelenggarakan acara seminar dengan tajuk “Penyalahgunaan Narkoba di Kalangan Siswa dan Mahasiswa”, Kamis (19/4) di Balai Sidang UI. Seminar diadakan sebagai tindak lanjut dari MoU yang ditandatangi oleh Rektor UI dan BNN terkait dengan perang terhadap narkoba tahun 2010 lalu.

Inilah suatu peristiwa langka, Dekan Fakultas Teknik UI Prof.Dr. Ir. Bambang Sugiarto, M.Eng menyanyi dengan diiringi Band FTUI, masih dalam keadaan lengkap memakai atribut seorang dekan. Acara yang berlangsung hari Sabtu siang (21/04) di balai Sidang Kampus Depok, sehabis acara pengukuhan Guru Besar FKG UI Prof.drg. Risqa Rina Darwita, Ph.D, yang tidak lain Istri Dekan FTUI. Rupanya Prof. Bambang "kaulan nyanyi" karena suami istri sama-sama sudah menjadi guru besar.

Hari Senin pagi (23/04) sebanyak 2716 pegawai UI baik yang berada di Kampus Salemba maupun Kampus Depok, menggunakan hak pilihnya untuk menentukan satu dari 5 bakal calon pegawai UI yang akan duduk dalam lembaga Majelis Wali Amanat Universitas Indonesia (MWA UI). MWA UI inilah yang nanti akan memilih Calon Rektor UI 2012-2016.

Apa saja budaya dan kuliner peranakan tionghoa di nusantara? Mungkin kita mengenal bubur asin, bakpao, bakpia, dan mie sebagai makanan yang sering dikonsumsi oleh orang Indonesia. Makanan ini ternyata bukan asli dari Indonesia, melainkan dari Tionghoa. “Mie, bakpao, dan bakpia merupakan makanan dari tionghoa yang telah dimodifikasi kembali oleh orang indonesia yang menganut agama Islam. Pemakaian daging babi banyak diganti oleh daging ayam”, kata Maharani Kemal, pakar kuliner dan budaya Betawi.
