Tuberkulosis merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan utama di Indonesia dan rifampisin merupakan salah satu tulang punggung pengobatan TB. Namun, penelitian mengenai pengaruh konsentrasi rifampisin terhadap keberhasilan pengobatan masih sangat langka. Hal inilah yang melatarbelakangi penyusunan disertasi Erlina Burhan seperti yang disampaikan dalam acara promosi doktor dalam bidang ilmu kedokteran di Ruang Senat Akademik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, Kamis (26/07).

Departemen Teknik Elektro FT UI mengadakan seminar dan workshop bertajuk “Solartag: Solar Energy for Future” di Aula Terapung, Perpustakaan UI dan Plaza Quantum FT UI (24—25/07). Acara ini merupakan kerja sama Departemen Elektro FT UI dengan INUTEC Solarzentrum (Ingunieurburo Vertrieb Montage), perusahaan asal Jerman yang bergerak di bidang teknologi panel surya. Seminar dan workshop ini dihadiri oleh CEO INUTEC, Alexander Kaub. Berawal dari hibah INUTEC berupa panel surya, Departemen Teknik Elektro FTUI kemudian mengadakan acara solar academy ini untuk mensosialisasikan teknologi tersebut.

Buka Puasa Bersama Rektor UI

Selasa (24/07), dalam rangka meningkatkan tali silaturahmi, rektorat UI mengadakan acara berbuka puasa di rumah dinas rektor, Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. Acara ini dihadiri oleh jajaran pimpinan rektorat UI beserta staf, pimpinan-pimpinan fakultas, serta guru-guru besar UI.

Acara dimulai pukul 17:00 wib dengan sambutan dari rektor UI, Prof. Dr. der Soz. Gumilar Rusliwa Somantri. Setelah berbuka bersama, acara dilanjutkan dengan salat tarawih berjamaah dan tausiyah agama oleh dosen senior UI KH. Suharyadi Sumhudi, M.A.. (JRS)

Prestasi Mahasiswa UI dalam "Maybank Go Ahead Challenge"

Mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia kembali menorehkan prestasi di kancah internasional. Kali ini prestasi berhasil diraih oleh Akhmad Rahadian Hutomo (Fasilkom UI 2008) dan Moch. Hasan (FE UI 2008) yang berhasil menjadi grand finalist pada kompetisi "Maybank Go Ahead Challenge."

Rabu (18/07) bertempat di Ruang Senat Akademik Fakultas Kedokteran UI telah lahir doktor baru dari program doktor Ilmu Biomedik, Fakultas Kedokteran UI. Irawan Mangunatmadja berhasil mempertahankan disertasinya yang berjudul, “Prediksi Luaran Klinis Pasien Epilepsi Local Berusia Kurang dari 3 Tahun : Peran Evolusi Klinis dan Elektroensefalografi serta Magnetic Resonance Imaging” di hadapan para penguji.

Novi Silvia Hardiany dari jurusan Ilmu Biomedik berhasil mempertahankan disertasinya di hadapan para penguji di Aula Fakultas Kedokteran UI, Rabu (18/07). Judul disertasinya yaitu “Penghambatan Ekspresi Gen Manganese Superoksida Dismutase pada Galur Sel Glioblastoma Multiforme T98G : Dampaknya terhadap Ketahanan Hidup dan Stres Oksidatif Akibat Induksi Rotenon.”
