Keamanan jaringan informasi menjadi topik yang hangat dewasa ini. Dalam dua tahun terakhir, data statistik dari Indonesia Security Incident Response Team on Internet Infrastructure (ID-SIRTI) menunjukkan bahwa jumlah insiden keamanan internet semakin meningkat dan beragam jenisnya. Pada tahun 2012 telah terdeteksi serangan jaringan komputer sebanyak 50,6 juta yang terinfeksi.
